I Did It!!!

I did it! The lesson still life in my Saturday drawing school, which I started 5(!) Saturdays ago. It is rather huge, 50x70cm (20"x28") and almost killed me with the quantity of strokes I had to make.
Developing patience and attention to details (I do not have much of any) are another great reason to study drawing.

  1. I like this VERY much - you captured the fabric folds very well (as well as the other objects!). I would say that you are plenty patient to have drawn this in such a large size.

    Yay, Irina!

    Ken B.

  2. Congrats, Irina!! It is very beautiful. You should be so proud of yourself!!

  3. Considering its size, I can imagine how much effort has gone in to this one, so I would say it is a masterpiece! The folds of the fabric, the shine on the stool, the can, everything looks perfect:-)

  4. Beautiful work, it requires a bit of patience to learn, but it's well worth it, for us and for your own satisfaction! Congratulations.

  5. Yay!!!! The patience has certainly paid off. Beautiful work!

  6. This drawing is gorgeous, perfect! I can see it took a lot of work to draw, and your efforts paid off!

  7. Ken, thank you! It was huge work.
    Manon, thank you!
Padmaja, I hang in on the wall and do rounds proudly :-))
Carraol, now my strokes are almost perfect!
    Theresa, thank you!
    Suzanne, thank you!
    Thank you, Laura!
